  Ok I read The article and it hit some key points, mainly about being ready for whatever and not getting to comfortable with not playing as much. But my thing is how do they expect a player to perform to the best of their ability when they don't give that much floor time? I wouldn't let that one game get the best of you because you're a good player , I've seen some of your highlights BUT again I agree with what your coach was saying about making the best of your time, play like yourself because you are good.
  But my question to you is when he made the statement
  
  "Acie was rusty. It happens. The bottom line is he has to be ready."
  How do you feel about that?
  
  My thing is how should anymore play when it states only 2 playrs from the team played in all 50 games?

  Hmm.. I think your coach has some unrealistic thinking and expectations. The weight of having a bench that stays ready falls, in part, on the coaching staff and its decisions both in practice and for game time. He puts you in the game as a player whose been forced to miss gametime from injuries (all athletes get injured when playing professionally) and family issues (happens to anyone that's ever been born) and asks you to lead a team that is crippled with injured and ill players. ...and expects what, exactly?? He doesn't think you were ready? Did he prepare you by holding you out of rotations? Did he set a positive tone for the year by saying no one's minutes were guaranteed? I mean, seriously.
  You did your thing, Acie. Keep your head up and be proud. So much the of the night's circumstances were completely beyond your control. Your coach could have created a better opportunity for you and failed you in that regard.

  I have been waiting ALL DAY to comment on this article!! Let me start off by saying this...Mike Woodson SUCKS!! He is a terrible coach! How can you ask somebody to be ready when all year you have done nothing but take a players mojo from him? He benches you all season or puts you in for "garbage minutes" and expects a miracle when you finally get to start? He can eat a D**K!! He is too busy getting lock-jaw tryna please Joe and Mike that he forgets he has a great back-up point guard by the name of ACIE LAW IV!! He is all about buckets just like the rest of the team and until he gets his thumb out his own ass you guys will never get to the finals in the east, let alone a championship. The Hawks have the best backcourt in basketball with Joe and Mike but thats definitely due to offense. Bibby couldnt guard my niece Jalissa and she is a sophomore in high school!! Dont get me wrong, the man can play! His jumper is SO SEXY, he is a great ball handler and a great passer, but definitely a shoot 1st, pass 2nd poing guard unless Joe gives him that "pass the damn ball" look. Joe is the most under-rated 2 guard in the league. The man is talented all around but still all about getting buckets. The reserves on the team are the main part of the success this year. They come in, get buckets, guard people, rebound, play hard and they get results. The problem with you as a reserve Acie is that Mike dont sit much, and when he does, Woody plays Flip at the point, or puts Joe at the point and puts Moe in. Aint nuthin wrong with that, you gotta go with the best match-up for that moment. But he just doesnt give u a fighting chance. He dont even look your way! Its like he doesnt believe in you or something. And if he dont, he needs to trade you to a team that will appreciate what you have to offer. When you get in, you tryna run plays and do what true point guards do. Woody likes players that get buckets so he doesnt see the advantage of having you in. If you were the starting point guard, the rest of the team would have to follow your lead, run the offense and it would be a totally different game. Yeah you can score but thats not your main goal, you'd rather win championships instead of games and I like that in you Acie! The biggest problem on the team is that your "leader" or coach doesnt run the team, the players do! And not only does he not have control, he SUCKS! 80% of the games the Hawks have lost was due to the fact that you guys were out coached!! He doesnt know how to adjust to changes in defense or offense and he hasnt even taught you guys how to defend the "pick and roll!" How the hell can you ask your players to stay ready when he aint ready??!! He needs to be ready for whatever the other coach throws at him and he has proven to me time after time that he is not!! So maybe he's the one that needs to be sitting on the damn bench! Bottom line Acie...you gotta be Superman when you step out on the court, whether its for 30 seconds or 30 minutes. Thats the only way people will praise you, otherwise, they will always say..."is he ready?" I know your ready, I just wish you had a coach that could develop you into the player you should be. The sooner they get rid of his ass the better off the team will be, but thats just my opinion...

  I think you will be a Hawk longer than Woodson or Bibby in the long run so just keep positive and stay ready. Eventually you will shine at the right time and people wont say "is he ready" they will say "why has Woodson not gotten him the minutes". There is a lot more mistrust on the Hawks developing talent properly than mistrust in the actual talent.

  Your stats looked good to me in that clippers game acie. I didn't get to see it because I don't get Atlanta games here in tx, but it doesn't seem like you were a defensive liability because the team lost 6 points while you were in the game compared to losing by 11 - 20 for every other hawk with significant minutes. you only had 1 turnover as well, so i don't see the rusty comment.
  But i hope you don't get too frustrated with your position or expectations or anything like that. believe in yourself, do what you do best, and it's going to fall in to place. just keep striving to be the best.

  Acie, I don't get to see you very much because I live in Dallas - but you were just about my favorite player to watch in College (even though I'm at Texas Tech Lol). I just wanted to give you some love though and tell you stick with it, you're gonna be a great player in this league and there's just no excuse for the kind of playing time your getting this year. Stay positive and I really look forward to the kind of player you develop into.

  Hmmm...there were some good comments that allowed you to look at the situation from every aspect. I had the opportunity to watch the game against the Clippers, and they were in a zone and was hitting unbelievable shots. However, that is not the point. What you have to do is not get discourage in those times and play the game you know how to play. You have to go out there and do your part and that is all anyone can expect of you. I agree you have to be ready at all times, and being ready is not necessarily phsyically, but mentally as well. I think you did a good job considering the situation. I say, encourage yourself, pull out the greatness in you and be ready to execute and produce once the opportunity present itself to you again!!! You have the potential to be a great player. Don't allow anyones opinion to define you, but know your greatness within yourself, and began to manifest it. I wish you the best.

  HELL YEA your ready, from your heading on your blog "I M READY..POINT BLANK!" of course you are..
  Why are you where you're at?? its not because you plant daisy's or shuffle papers its because you are a pro at what you do and that's play basketball. I have watched every game since the start of the season with NBA League Pass and ever time your called to perform you give it all you got. Even if its 1-minute (garbage time) or 27 minutes you play like a pro. I'm sure you frustrated for not playing much but
  Joe Johnson said it all---
  "What he can't do is worry about how Mike does thing and how Mike runs the team. Acie has to do it his own way when he's out there, because we have to establish some kind of flow and continuity when Acie is on the floor and roll with that. And that's where we come in as his teammates. We've got to make sure he knows we're rolling with him when he's out there."

  Acie, you know that you can play, and you have been around the game long enough to know that sitting on the bench doesn't make you ready. Coach Woodson must give you more playing time, meaning real game experience and not just garbage mop-up duty. Don't get discouraged, but do whatever you can to make sure you are ready. Honor God with your effort, heart, and attitude, and He will take care of the rest.
