Alex Bregman Has A Great Label For The City Of Houston
Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports

The City of Houston is buzzing after the hometown Houston Astros captured yet another World Series title, their second in the last six years.

Houston defeated the underdog Philadelphia Phillies in six games on Saturday night to bring home another championship.

And on Monday afternoon, fans got a chance to celebrate with their Astros during the World Series parade.

For Alex Bregman, this is the second time he’s had a chance to win a title with the Astros and celebrate with fans in the streets of downtown Houston.

During the parade, he took a selfie with his wife and plenty of excited Astros fans in the background, referring to Houston as “Baseball City” in the caption.

Baseball City

For several years, the City of Houston didn’t have much to cheer about in terms of baseball.

Ever since winning the National League pennant in 2005, the Astros had regressed and fallen on hard times.

Even after their switch to the American League, there was still a lot of work that needed to be done.

But in a few short years, the Astros found themselves back in postseason contention and even captured a World Series title in 2017.

At that point, Astros fans had fallen in love with their team again and were making plenty of noise at ballgames.

Fast forward five years and the Astros are once again celebrating a title, and the fans are enjoying every minute of it, taking pride in the fact that the team has evolved into a dynasty.

You might say that Houston is a “Baseball City.”
