Angels' Shohei Ohtani strikes out 10, drives home two runs in 5-2 victory over Marlins

Shohei Ohtani continues to impress during his historic two-way season for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

On Wednesday, led by Ohtani, the Angels knocked off the Miami Marlins, 5-2.

Ohtani was electric on the mound, pitching seven strong innings, posting 10 strikeouts and allowing just one run off two hits.

He was just as impactful at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBI.

With the game tied 1-1 in the top of the fifth, Ohtani singled home Monte Harrison and Jonathan Villar to put the Angels up for good at 3-1.

Ohtani became the first player since the RBI became an official stat in 1920 to have 10 or more strikeouts, multiple RBI and a stolen base in the same game.

On the mound this season, Ohtani has a record of 8-4 with an ERA of 2.44. He's allowed 22 earned runs while striking out 111 batters in 81 innings

At the plate, he's batting .259/.344/.495 with 18 home runs and 53 RBI in 80 games.
