Braves' Johan Camargo leaves game after fouling ball off foot
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

This isn’t something we want to see become commonplace as MLB wraps up the regular season.

One day after reigning NL MVP Christian Yelich suffered a broken kneecap on a foul ball, young Atlanta Braves star Johan Camargo left Wednesday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies on a similar play.

It’s obviously too early to conclude how severe the injury is, but it could be a major blow for Atlanta down the stretch.

Camargo, 25, has been getting consistent starts recently. He’s hitting just .234 with seven homers and 32 RBI on the season. This comes one year after Carmago posted a .272 average with 19 homers and 76 RBI.
