Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Mets signed right-handed reliever Jorge Lopez to a one-year contract on Thursday.

The team did not announce financial terms. ESPN previously reported the deal was for $2 million.

Lopez, 30, pitched for the Minnesota Twins, Miami Marlins and Baltimore Orioles in 2023, posting a combined 6-2 record with three saves and a 5.95 ERA in 61 appearances.

He was named to the American League All-Star team in 2022, a season he finished at 4-7 with a 2.54 ERA and 23 saves for the Twins and Orioles.

In 230 career games (58 starts), Lopez has a 22-40 record with a 5.51 ERA, 418 strikeouts and 27 saves for five teams since making his major league debut in 2015 with the Milwaukee Brewers.
