MLB best strikeout bets: 3 strikeout props for Thursday 6/29

After a brutal start to the week in strikeout props, we bounced back Wednesday with a 2-1 mark. Let's keep the momentum rolling with my three favorite K props for Thursday's MLB slate.

Brandon Pfaadt under 3.5 Ks (+128 FanDuel)

I may not be able to pronounce Brandon Pfaadt's name, but I sure can bet against him. The rookie made five starts in May for the Arizona Diamondbacks and built up an ERA of 8.37 before being sent down to Triple-A Reno. Pfaadt will make his return to the starting rotation Thursday afternoon, and it won't be an easy task against a Tampa Bay Rays team that's recorded the fewest strikeouts per game (6.6) in MLB over the last week.

Adam Wainwright under 3.5 Ks (-155 DraftKings)

This isn't the Adam Wainwright we know and love. The veteran righty is striking out only 4.6 batters per nine innings this season, which is the worst mark of his 18-year career. Wainwright has gone over this number just twice in nine starts this year, and now he has to face a Houston Astros lineup that's recorded the fewest strikeouts per game (6.6) over the last two weeks. I'll swallow the juice on this one.

Taijuan Walker over 4.5 Ks (+116 FD)

I'm riding the hot hand with Taijuan Walker Thursday. The Philadelphia Phillies right-hander has really found a groove lately with 26 strikeouts in his last four starts, going over this number in all four. The Chicago Cubs have struck out 22 times through the first two games of this series, and I think they'll continue to struggle against a pitcher who's starting to find his stride.
