How do you bounce back from a 1-2 start to the week in strikeout props? A 3-0 sweep on Tuesday night's slate sure does help. Let's keep the momentum rolling with my three favorite K props for Wednesday in MLB.
I've enjoyed fading this Minnesota Twins lineup lately. Over the last two weeks, the Twins rank second in MLB in strikeouts per game (10.5) and 22nd in runs per game (3.2). Garrett Whitlock is coming off his best performance of the year in which he fanned a season-high seven batters in seven innings pitched. He should be able to keep it rolling against a struggling offense.
Unlike the Twins, the Atlanta Braves have been mashing opposing pitchers of late. The Braves rank first in the league in batting average (.313), OPS (.932), and runs per game (7.4) over the last 15 days, and they've struck out just 6.9 times per game in that span. Aaron Nola has cleared this number in three straight starts, but that will be a tough task Wednesday night against the hottest lineup in baseball.
It's been a struggle for the New York Yankees without Aaron Judge in the lineup, but they're not striking out at a high clip. New York is averaging just 7.5 Ks per game over the last two weeks, which is the fifth-lowest mark in MLB. Luis Castillo enters this matchup coming off three straight losses, and he's gone under 7.5 Ks in two of those starts.
