Reds Bring Back Familiar Face, Sign Right-Hander to Minor League Contract
© Sam Greene/The Enquirer / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Reds signed Brett Kennedy to a minor league contract according to the MLB's official transaction tracker. He became a free agent in September.

Kennedy appeared in five games for the Reds last season, making two starts. He allowed 13 runs in 18 innings.

He tossed 78 2/3 innings for Triple-A Louisville in 2023. That's where he projects to start next season.

Kennedy does give them another right-hander that they could lean on as a long reliever at some point in 2024.
