In case you missed it, the Braves acquired closer Raisel Iglesias in exchange for Jesse Chavez and top ten prospect Tucker Davidson. Now, Davidson rejoins a rebuilding Angels farm system. So, where does he rank among Los Angeles’ current prospects?

MLB Pipeline had Davidson 5th in Atlanta’s system, which shows how depleted the Braves farm system has been. Davidson checks in at 11th for the Angels, which is still pretty respectable. I expect Tucker to get some run with the big league club sooner rather than later, especially given his age and Noah Syndergaard being traded to the Phillies.
Baseball America hasn’t updated their rankings, but they have Davidson at 9th in Atlanta’s system. He should probably land around the same range in LA’s farm. It’s worth noting that prospects lose their status after 50 MLB innings, and Tucker Davidson is at 37. He may not be a prospect for long if the Angels call up the 26-year-old, who now may be one of the better MLB-ready arms in their organization.
