Hawks’ Jalen Johnson expected to miss 4-6 weeks
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson is expected to miss four-to-six weeks with a left wrist injury, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Johnson, 21, is 6-foot-9 and suffered the injury in Saturday’s win over the Washington Wizards. He is having a breakout season, averaging 14.1 points and 7.3 rebounds, shooting 59 percent from the field in his third year.

On the bright side, testing showed no fracture or need for surgery, Charania reported.

Johnson was selected with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Duke. He has started 10 of the 15 games in which he’s played this season.

The Hawks (8-7) currently sit in third place in the Southeast Division.
