The Toronto Raptors traded O.G. Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn to the New York Knicks for Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett and the 31st pick in the 2024 NBA Draft via the Detroit Pistons.

The Raptors made a blockbuster trade which saw them acquire two young starters who are looking like core pieces next to Scottie Barnes.

Barrett and Quickley have flourished with the Raptors since arriving in Toronto to begin the new year.

Quickley in particular has showcased just how good he can be in a starter’s role.

In 38 games with Toronto, he averaged 18.6 points, 6.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds on 39.5 percent shooting from deep.

Quickley had a few standout performances with the Raptors and looked like he can be the team’s franchise point guard moving forward.

Quickley is a restricted free agent this summer meaning Toronto can match any offer sheet he signs with another team.

The 24-year-old was asked about his upcoming free agency and if he wants to stay in Toronto or test the open market on FanDuel’s Run It Back:

“I love Toronto, I love being in Toronto since the day I got there. I say it all the time, they have done nothing but show me love. Toronto is obviously, if I could be there that’s where I want to be but obviously like business is business so my agent and stuff have to handle all of that.”
