Nets have four new players enter COVID-19 protocols

The Brooklyn Nets haven't quite yet reached the crisis stage that the Chicago Bulls find themselves in, but the team atop the Eastern Conference standings is suddenly dealing with a very serious COVID-19 issue.

Because Aldridge, Bembry, Carter and Johnson just entered the protocols, they will be out for at least 10 days. In addition to the aforementioned players, superstar Kevin Durant is reportedly battling an ankle injury.

Nets are already down to 10 healthy players for tonight's game vs the Raptors, with 7 players already ruled out, including 5 in the health and safety protocols. They'd be down to 9 active bodies if KD can't go.

As the numbers on the Nets' active roster continue to dwindle, the NBA will continue to provide help in any way they can. ESPN NBA Front Office Insider Bobby Marks reported Tuesday that Brooklyn could get up to three hardship exceptions.

The Nets are currently scheduled to host the Toronto Raptors at 7:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
