Nuggets may have interest in Wizards’ Delon Wright in search for guard help
Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The defending champions may not stand pat at the trade deadline.

Instead, the Denver Nuggets could try to add depth to the backcourt, with Washington Wizards guard Delon Wright among their potential targets, per Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

“The defending champions from Denver are yet another contender hampered by very limited trade maneuverability but are said to have interest in backcourt reinforcements,” Stein wrote, listing Wright as a “possible Nuggets trade target.”

Wright, 31, is 6-foot-5 and plays both guard sports. He has appeared in 27 games this season (through Sunday) and is averaging 4.5 points and 2.7 assists.

He has also spent time with the Toronto Raptors, Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Hawks. He’s in his second season with the Wizards.
