Suns Announce Signing of Terrence Ross
Rob Gray-USA TODAY Sports

The Suns have officially signed guard/forward Terrence Ross, the team announced in a press release.

Ross recently agreed to a buyout with the Magic, then cleared waivers 48 hours later.

Ross, 32, is 6-foot-6 and averaging 8.0 points and shooting 43 percent from the field in 42 games. His scoring average and minutes per game (22.5) had been the lowest since his rookie season of 2012-13.

It was initially reported that he was leaning toward signing with the Mavericks, but opted for Kevin Durant and the new-look Suns instead. Both Durant and Ross are expected to join the lineup after the All-Star Break in late February.

Ross was selected with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, spending his first five seasons with the Raptors. He played for the Magic in the previous seven.

He will wear No. 8 with the Suns.
