Tacko Fall goes viral for the most disrespectful poster of the year
Tacko Fall. David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Tacko Fall may no longer play in the NBA, but the Senegalese center continues to go viral on social media for his basketball exploits.

Fall, who now plays for the Nanjing Tongxi Monkey Kings in the Chinese Basketball Association, recently found his name trending on X for a vicious poster dunk.

The viral dunk happened during the Monkey Kings’ matchup against the Shanghai Sharks last week at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium in Shanghai, China.

On one fateful possession, Kings guard Wei Lin found Fall cutting to the basket. Shanghai’s 6’3″ guard Terry Li rotated over to try and defend the 7’6″ giant’s dunk attempt. You can probably do the math to figure out what happened next.

Kudos to Li for even attempting to block Fall’s dunk. Much taller men would have likely made the business decision to let Fall go through unimpeded.

Fall finished the contest with 12 points, 14 rebounds and four blocked shots. However, his performance wasn’t enough to prevent a 98-95 Monkey Kings defeat against the Sharks.

Fall has averaged 8.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks across 12 games played for Nanjing this season.

Fall played three seasons in the NBA, splitting time between the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers. He averaged 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 37 career games played.
