After his time playing for the Raptors, Carter made his way to the New Jersey Nets and Orlando Magic, two teams that saw him play out most of his prime. Since then, the former Raptors star spent the remaining years of his career as a journeyman for the Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, and Atlanta Hawks.

Due to the announcement of Carter about to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, the Raptors released a logo of their mascot in a pose reminiscent of the All-Star’s iconic dunk. This move has led a lot of fans asking the franchise to make this tribute Toronto’s permanent logo, as seen in a tweet of the image by Ball Is Life on X:

“This should have been done 20 years ago!” Ryan Totka tweeted.

“Way better than the current one, I bet if they had that logo in 2019 Kawhi would’ve stayed,” Juan Suarez explained.

It’s almost impossible not to love the logo’s look and the history behind it. Carter has been known as one of the NBA’s greatest dunkers and the moment used for the logo has been regarded as an exciting memory for a lot of fans.

The Raptor star’s induction into the Hall of Fame will occur later this year on August 17. Carter will be joined by other former NBA stars, such as Chauncey Billups, Michael Cooper, and Walter Davis, among others.
