Watch: Nuggets Rookie Throws Down Massive Dunk In Nuggets-Pelicans Game
USA TODAY Sports

This year's rookie class in the NBA has been very impressive and while he may not lead all rookies in scoring, Christian Braun has been making his impact felt lately with the Denver Nuggets.

In the third quarter of Thursday night's game against the New Orleans Pelicans , Braun put Pelicans star Brandon Ingram on a poster with a massive on-handed dunk!

Drafted 21st overall by Denver this past offseason, Braun has been working his way into the Nuggets' rotation as of late and with plays like this one over Ingram, he will continue to see more time on the floor!

Entering Thursday night's game against New Orleans, Christian Braun has played in 69 games during his rookie season, averaging 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while shooting 49.6 percent from the floor and 39.2 percent from three-point range.

Known for being a very athletic guard that can also play out on the wing, Braun helped lead the Kansas Jayhawks to championship in 2022.

"Working hard and harder than others is a skill to me," Braun told Fastbreak on FanNation in an exclusive interview earlier this season. "If I have that mindset and show up ready to work every day, I know I can have a great career in this league and everyone in the NBA is talented, so you need to try and find a way to separate yourself. One of the easiest ways to do so is working hard whether that means diving for loose balls in games or simply being there for every workout outside of games. All of those little things eventually turn into big things."

The Denver Nuggets are closing in on clinching the 1-seed in the Western Conference and have high title aspirations this year. They will be a very tough team to beat in a seven-game playoff series.
