49ers Pro Bowl TE George Kittle has been without power for 'going on 4 days'

Deadly flooding across parts of California haven't impacted plans for Saturday's playoff game between the host San Francisco 49ers and visiting Seattle Seahawks, but the horrific weather has made life a bit more difficult this week for tight end George Kittle.

The wild-card matchup between the NFC West foes will be held at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., after the Niners (13-4) cruised to the division title, finishing the regular season on a league-best 10-game winning streak. The Seahawks (9-8) snuck into the playoffs by winning their final two contests, including a 19-16 OT home win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 18.

San Francisco won both regular-season meetings against Seattle in 2022, first by a 27-7 count at home in Week 2 and then 21-13 on the road in Week 15. The September tilt was quarterback Trey Lance's final game of the campaign, as he suffered a season-ending ankle injury early in the game and was replaced by Jimmy Garoppolo.

Week 15 was rookie Brock Purdy's second NFL start after he took over for Garoppolo following his foot injury early in Week 13. Despite having the 2022 NFL Draft's "Mr. Irrelevant" under center for at least the beginning of the playoffs, the Niners are widely viewed as one of the favorites to make the Super Bowl from the NFC (along with the Philadelphia Eagles) thanks to their stellar defense and array of weapons on offense.

Among Purdy's most trusted pass catchers is Kittle, who was voted to his fourth Pro Bowl this season. Despite missing two games, the 29-year-old finished the campaign with a career-high and team-high 11 touchdown receptions, as well as 60 receptions and 765 receiving yards, both of which were second on the 49ers to Brandon Aiyuk.
