Defensive end Ryan Kerrigan is among the players to appear on Washington's injury report. Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Heading into Week 3, Washington has a lengthy injury list filled with some big names.

Washington Football Team schedule

  • Week 3: Washington at Cleveland
  • Week 4: Baltimore at Washington
  • Week 5: Los Angeles Rams at Washington
  • Week 6: Washington at New York Giants

Last update: Thursday at 9:07pm EDT on September 24, 2020

Ryan Kerrigan

  • Position: Defensive end
  • Status: Questionable
  • Injury: Toe
  • Team impact: Kerrigan has been the leader for Washington’s pass rush since he entered the league. Even though Washington has depth at the defensive line, Kerrigan’s absence will be felt. He is vital for Washington’s defense
  • Fantasy impact: Washington has playmakers on the defensive line, but if Kerrigan misses some time, it will be good news for opposing quarterbacks.

Morgan Moses

  • Position: Offensive tackle
  • Status: Questionable
  • Injury: Hip
  • Team impact: With Brandon Scherff on the IR, Washington offensive line needs an anchor like Morgan Moses. Dwayne Haskins is already struggling to have time to throw the ball, and Moses missing time will be devastating for the young quarterback
  • Fantasy impact: Moses absence should make fantasy football players stay away from Washington’s skill players

Saahdiq Charles

  • Position: Offensive tackle
  • Status: Questionable
  • Injury: Thigh
  • Team impact: Washington's offensive line seems to unable to catch a break. Not only are its starters going down with injuries, but now its depth is running thin.
  • Fantasy impact: Similar to Moses’s absence, Charles absence should make fantasy football players stay away from Washington’s skill players

Ryan Anderson

  • Position: Defensive end
  • Status: Questionable
  • Injury: Shin
  • Team impact: Anderson is much-needed depth for the Washington defensive line. One of the most enticing characteristics of this defensive line is its depth. Kerrigan and Anderson on the injury report is not a good sign for Washington heading into their matchup versus the Browns
  • Fantasy impact: Similar to Kerrigan’s absence, Anderson’s absence will be good news for opposing offenses, and Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt might have themselves another great game.

Thomas Davis Sr.

  • Position: Backup outside linebacker
  • Status: Out
  • Injury: Illness
  • Team Impact: Davis has been on the injury report since the season started. This time he finds himself on the injury report because of illness. Washington depth at linebacker still remains an issue
  • Fantasy Impact: Davis is a second on the depth chart for linebackers, so his presence won’t have a fantasy impact. However, his leadership is vital for Washington’s defense.

Cole Holcomb

  • Position: Backup linebacker
  • Status: Questionable
  • Injury: Knee
  • Team Impact: Similar to Davis, Holcomb finds him second on the depth chart for linebackers. He did not practice on Wednesday, and if Washington's starting linebackers go down with an injury, Holcomb’s absence will be felt.
  • Fantasy Impact: Also similar to Davis, second on the depth chart for linebackers, so his presence won’t have a fantasy impact.

Steve Sims Jr.

  • Position: Wide receiver/return specialist
  • Status: Questionable
  • Injury: Toe
  • Team Impact: Haskins has struggled the first two games of the season, and losing a speedy receiver like Sims is not good news for Washington fans.
  • Fantasy Impact: Fantasy football players should stay away from Haskins and anyone on Washington’s offense for their week 3 game.
