Bears First Week 3 Injury Report Features 4 Players
Dan Powers/USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin / USA TODAY NETWORK

Despite plenty of drama at Halas Hall, the show must go on. Ahead of a matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Chicago Bears released their first injury report of Week 3. Josh Blackwell, Eddie Jackson, Darnell Mooney, and Lucas Patrick are all dealing with ailments.

On the defensive side, Blackwell was limited in practice due to a hamstring injury after not suiting up in Week 2. With Kyler Gordon on injured reserve, Blackwell's ailment only adds to uncertainty in the Bears' secondary.

Perhaps even more concerning, Jackson sat out Wednesday's practice entirely due to a foot issue. The seventh-year defensive back suffered the injury during Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, causing him to exit the game early and not return to action.

Like Jackson, Patrick did not suit up for practice. The veteran offensive lineman is dealing with an illness, which the Bears surely hope will clear up soon. With Braxton Jones landing on IR earlier in the day, Chicago's already-depleted offensive line took another hit.

Additionally, Mooney is dealing with a knee injury that resulted in a limited practice session. The speedster wideout has four catches for 53 yards and one touchdown through the Bears' first two games of the season.
