Broncos interviewing Patriots asst. Jerod Mayo, Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon for HC job

The Denver Broncos haven't made the playoffs since Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset following the team's win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 in 2016. Still, the opportunity to lead a roster filled with young talent such as running back Javonte Williams and wide receivers Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy -- not to mention the chance to work under Hall of Famer John Elway -- is evidently a highly-coveted one.

The Broncos ended the regular season at 7-10 and as a result, fired head coach Vic Fangio after three seasons. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Denver has two interviews lined up for the vacancy on Wednesday.

Other names that the Broncos have been looking at have included offensive coordinators Kellen Moore, Eric Bienemy and Nathaniel Hackett of the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers, respectively.

The Cowboys fell to the San Francisco 49ers in an NFC wild-card game on Sunday, the Chiefs defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in their playoff-opener on Sunday and the Packers had a first-round bye. No. 2 Kansas City will take on the third-seeded Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional round on Sunday while No. 1 Green Bay will host No. 6 San Francisco on Saturday.
