Cardinals, Markus Golden agree to two-year, $9 million deal

Markus Golden is staying with the team that drafted him in 2015.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals signed Golden to a two-year, $9 million deal.

Golden signed with the New York Giants in 2019 and was there until he was traded to the Cardinals midway through the 2020 season.

The 30-year-old appeared in all 16 games last season, recording one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, 4.5 sacks, 33 tackles and 20 quarterback hits.

Golden's return could mean that Haason Reddick will play elsewhere in 2021, though that remains to be seen. The Cardinals now have Golden, J.J. Watt, Chandler Jones and Jordan Phillips to lead their pass rush.
