Carlos Dunlap: Chiefs provide 'best opportunity' to win Super Bowl

Last week, defensive end Carlos Dunlap inked a one-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs worth up to $8 million. On Thursday morning, the two-time Pro Bowler discussed why he decided to team up with Patrick Mahomes and company.

Dunlap also went into detail about his meeting with Chiefs head coach Andy Reid before he signed the contract.

Entering his 13th NFL season, the 33-year-old had a 10-plus-year run with the Cincinnati Bengals during which he made both of his Pro Bowls and racked up 82.5 sacks. Dunlap was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in October 2020 and then finished the 2021 season with 35 tackles, 14 quarterback hits, 8.5 sacks and seven passes defended over 17 contests (two starts).

The former Florida Gator has gone 0-6 during his half-dozen postseason appearances between the Bengals and Seahawks. Dunlap enters the 2022 campaign with 96.0 career sacks, which puts him eighth among active players.
