Chiefs' Daniel Sorensen not fined for hit on Browns' Rashard Higgins

Kansas City Chiefs safety Daniel Sorensen won't be facing any supplemental discipline for his hit on Cleveland Browns wide receiver Rashard Higgins last weekend.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Sorensen will not be fined for the helmet-to-helmet hit that caused Higgins to fumble into the end zone.

If the NFL fined Sorensen, the league would be acknowledging that the officials screwed up by not making the call. A penalty on Sorensen would've given the Browns a first-and-goal at the 1-yard line and a real opportunity to shift the tides. Instead, the Chiefs got the ball on the 20-yard line after the ball went out of bounds in the end zone.

The Browns lost the game 22-17, while the Chiefs are set to play in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.
