Robert Woods was a major contributor for the Los Angeles Rams for several years before they traded him to the Tennessee Titans on Saturday, and Cooper Kupp wants to make sure his former teammate gets the credit he deserves.
Kupp posted a heartfelt letter to Woods on social media Tuesday. He praised Woods for the “incredible impact he has had on the transformation of the LA Rams for the better.” Kupp said the Super Bowl-winning culture that has been created in L.A. is a result of hard work from people like “Bobby Trees,” which is the nickname he and others use for Woods.

Kupp and Woods are obviously very close. Woods tore his ACL in practice last November, so he did not play down the stretch or in the playoffs for the Rams. Kupp and Woods shared an awesome moment on the field following the team’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl.
The Rams made a huge splash in free agency when they signed Allen Robinson, which is why they parted with Woods. If Woods is healthy, he should give Tennessee’s offense a major boost.
