Crafty Chiefs cornerback L'Jarius Sneed tricks Tom Brady on key strip sack

When the Kansas City Chiefs drafted cornerbacks rather than sign a veteran this offseason, they did so knowing what they had in L'Jarius Sneed.

The third-year defensive back has helped make the Chiefs' defense one of the league's top units.

Sneed has been all over the field, from nickel to safety, helping Kansas City to a 3-1 start. He leads all cornerbacks with three sacks and ranks second among defenders with two forced fumbles. The third-year cornerback from Louisiana Tech also leads the team in solo tackles with 28.

On Sunday, Sneed made his biggest play of the season.

With the Chiefs ahead 21-10, Sneed made a rush outside and forced a strip sack of Tom Brady. Six plays after the fumble recovery by Chris Jones, the Chiefs extended the lead to 28-10.

To throw off Brady, Sneed said he was messing with his helmet and gloves moments prior to the sack.

"That's just what I do to not let him know I'm coming," Sneed said in the postgame news conference.
