The Miami Dolphins' throwback uniforms are slick. Honestly, probably as good as it gets in the NFL. With a classic look given a modern twist, they are adored by many Dolphins fans.
Over the years there have been mounting calls for their adoption as the team's permanent uniforms. Some fans go as far as to hound Dolphins president, vice chairman, and CEO Tom Garfinkel any time he puts up a new post on Twitter/X.
However, for those holding out hope, don't hold your breath.
According to Miami Dolphins legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Dan Marino, that's likely not going to happen. Marino joined Mike Florio and Chris Simms on Super Bowl LVIII radio row in Las Vegas on Wednesday and answered a question from Florio about whether Miami fans will ever get what they want as far as the throwbacks.
Dan Marino says he would like to see the Miami Dolphins use the throwbacks uniforms full time.

Also says that he doesn’t think owner Stephen Ross will do it, and that he thinks Ross “doesn’t want to hear it anymore”.

"I don't think he will because that was kind of his baby," Marino said. "I'd like to see them come back too because they look great. Especially when you have those guys where they're wearing the throwbacks. But at the same time, he owns the team, and I don't think he wants to hear that question anymore (laughing)."
That's as much of an answer as Dolphins fans are going to get, and it's one that many won't like hearing. Owner Stephen Ross will likely never come out and answer the question many have been asking. However, Marino and Ross are very close, often sitting together in Ross' box at home games. As such, if there's anyone who would know what Ross is thinking, it would be number thirteen.
The large swath of Miami fans pining for the adoption of the throwbacks probably won't get what they want. But that doesn't mean many won't continue to push the question - even if the individual to whom it is addressed doesn't want to hear it anymore.
