Ex-Packers SB Champion James Jones tells LeSean McCoy that Aaron Rodgers is, was, and will be better than Josh Allen
Michael Madrid-USA TODAY Sports

A war of words emerged between the panelists of the talk show Speak regarding quarterback Aaron Rodgers. In the 2024-25 season, Rodgers is set to make a comeback from the vicious Achilles Tendon injury he suffered last season. There is a lot of buzz regarding his comeback, given the pull he holds in the sport.

James Jones, the former Super Bowl champion and a former teammate of Rodgers in the Green Bay Packers is ‘still’ hopeful that the quarterback will do wonders in the coming time. The QB has been subjected to a lot of criticism, with multiple claims having been raised that he has lost his charm over the years and is not in his best form.

Jones also claimed that Rodgers is better than the league’s one of the finest quarterbacks, Josh Allen. This remark certainly made the other panelists raise their eyebrows.

Since he came in the National Football League, ain't smell the Super Bowl, ain't smell any other stuff is better than Aaron Rodgers? James Jones said

He was refuted by his colleague LeSean ‘Shady’ McCoy who asked him who he thinks is a better quarterback. Without hesitation, the QB noted that Aaron Rodgers, by far is better than Josh Allen. Jones sounded aggressive to prove the worth of his former teammate.

Aaron Rodgers is a better quarterback than Josh Allen. Aaron Rodgers is a better quarterback than Josh Allen. Today, tomorrow, yesterday, the day before yesterday, the night before yesterday, the morning before yesterday. Aaron Rodgers is a better quarterback than Josh Allen. Point blank period. James Jones added

Aaron Rodgers leads in the legacy race

In his long NFL career, Aaron Rodgers has added multiple feathers to his cap. He has certainly achieved more than what Allen has. He won the Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers. In addition, the QB has won four ‘Most Valuable Players’ Awards. Despite raising fingers at his declining form with his growing age, none can question his legacy.

On the other hand, Josh Allen has competed for multiple MVP Awards but has failed to win any. He also failed to take his team forward from the AFC Championship Game. Last season, the Buffalo Bills had a golden opportunity to get past the Kansas City Chiefs challenge in the playoffs, but, the Bills failed again like the previous seasons.

In the coming season, the Rodgers-Allen faceoff will take place twice. It is worth noting that, it was in the Bills game that Rodgers got injured.
