Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams reveals that teammate Jakobi Meyers is helping him learn more

One of the biggest steals of the 2023 free agency period has to be when the Las Vegas Raiders signed wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, who ended up being one of, if not the best, wide receiver two in the league. There were times when he was the go-to guy rather than Davante Adams.

While the Raiders didn't have a great offense, they were able to find a complementary piece for Adams. Davante Adams struggled at times because of the offense, and it felt like the games he played, or the games the opponent's defense focused on stopping Adams, were when Meyers would just go crazy.

The two helped each other a lot last season, and as Adams recently said, even going into year 11 now, he learned a lot from Meyers. Adams is one of the best players in the league and, in my opinion, the best receiver in the league, yet he can still learn things from his running mate.

"That's never the mentality that anyone should have, let alone me," Adams said of learning the game and being done learning. "I'm learning something new, and the thing is, you can learn in so many ways, like I learned from new guys. I learned so many things from Jakobi this year that I didn't know before. He was basically the best-kept secret in the league for me. 

"I saw a lot of guys, and I watch tapes of a lot of guys that people know and respect. He's one of the quietest human beings I have ever been around. Certain small things within his route. He isn't the fastest guy in the world, so he's really good at changing pace while he's running full speed. He's one of the best I have seen so far. The way he sets people up, it's almost like watching basketball."
