New Orleans Saints release veteran CB Bradley Roby
Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Saints have released veteran cornerback Bradley Roby. Pro Football Talk reported the news on Tuesday, and it was essentially confirmed by the former Ohio State star in a message on social media.

News of the release comes as NFL teams trim their rosters down to 53 players for the regular season. Roby has played nine years in the league.

“Good (luck) to my brothers and the Saints fans y’all deserve to be winners!” Roby wrote on Twitter.

Roby spent the last two seasons with the Saints. In his two years with the team, the cornerback played in 27 games and totaled 59 tackles, 10 passes defended and an interception.
