NFL QB prospect Malik Willis had funny comment about Mike Tomlin

Mike Tomlin has long been known as a players’ coach, and we may now know one of his secrets to keeping up that reputation — chicken wings.

Malik Willis, one of the top quarterback prospects in the upcoming draft, shared a funny tidbit about Tomlin this week. The former Liberty star said he had dinner with Tomlin on Monday night, and he was surprised at how laid back things were. Willis said Tomlin is “like a normal dude” and was eating chicken wings.

Chicken wings are for everyone, even the rich and famous. It’s almost more entertaining that Willis feels eating wings is a sign of being a “normal dude” than it is that Tomlin was eating them.

The Steelers signed Mitchell Trubisky this offseason, but there is still a good chance they will draft a quarterback. There has been talk for quite some time that they are high on Willis. The admiration appears to be mutual, especially after Monday’s dinner.
