NFL writer believes Odell Beckham Jr. would be good fit for Buffalo Bills
Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Could the Buffalo Bills end up signing wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.?

The Bills just sent star receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans in a blockbuster trade. They also lost fellow wide out Gabe Davis to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency.

That leaves Khalil Shakir and Curtis Samuel as Buffalo’s top two options at the position, revealing a clear need for the Bills to make some additions.

Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay thinks that Beckham could be of some assistance.

Beckham spent the 2023 campaign with the Baltimore Ravens, playing in 14 games and logging 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns.

Of course, the 31-year-old is hardly the same player he once was.

Beckham, who played his collegiate football at LSU, was originally selected by the New York Giants with the 12th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He appeared to be on a historic pace over the first three seasons, as he logged three straight 1,000-yard campaigns and made three consecutive Pro Bowl appearances. His best season during that stretch came in 2015, when he hauled in 96 receptions for 1,450 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Beckham spent the first five years of his career with the Giants, but injuries—and attitude issues—derailed his last couple of seasons with the club.

New York then traded him to the Cleveland Browns, where he spent two-and-a-half disappointing years before the Browns cut him midway through 2021. He went on to sign with the Los Angeles Rams for the rest of that season and helped lead the team to a Super Bowl.

Beckham sat out all of 2022 and signed with the Ravens last offseason.

The New Orleans native is definitely not a No. 1 receiver at this stage of his career, but for a team like the Bills that is in desperate need of receiving help, Odell Beckham Jr. could be a solid pickup.
