Rams add one-time Pro Bowl WR Allen Robinson on three-year, $46.5M deal

The Los Angeles Rams added another playmaker to their already explosive offense Thursday when former Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson agreed to a three-year, $46.5 million deal with the defending Super Bowl champs.

Robinson, 28, spent the first four seasons of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he earned Pro Bowl honors in 2015 with 1,400 receiving yards and an NFL-best 14 touchdown grabs. His time with the team ended in 2017 when he suffered an ACL tear in Week 1 and missed the remainder of the year before hitting free agency.

The Bears added Robinson on a three-year, $42 million contract, and he racked up 3,151 yards and 17 touchdowns before receiving the franchise tag last offseason. Hamstring troubles dogged Robinson for much of the 2021 season, and he finished the year with just 410 yards and one touchdown in 12 games.

Los Angeles has one of the most productive receivers in NFL history in Cooper Kupp but lost No. 2 receiver Robert Woods to an ACL tear in November. Midseason acquisition Odell Beckham Jr. filled in well for Woods but suffered an ACL tear of his own during the Rams' Super Bowl LVI win.

The Rams also have Van Jefferson under contract, and ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday that the team hopes to re-sign Beckham.
