Report: Bears WR N'Keal Harry could miss six weeks with high-ankle sprain

Chicago Bears wideout N'Keal Harry left practice on Saturday with what appeared to be a severe ankle injury.

On Sunday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport provided an update on Harry's status and what could lie ahead for the former first-round pick.

According to Rapoport, Harry has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain.

Rapoport said Harry would likely see renowned specialist Dr. Robert Anderson, who will help determine the severity of the injury and his timeline for return.

Harry could miss up to six weeks of action if the sprain is severe enough.

It's a tough break for Harry, who is looking to establish himself after several lackluster seasons with the New England Patriots.

In 12 games last season, Harry posted 12 receptions for 184 yards.

Selected 32nd overall by the Patriots out of Arizona State in 2019, Harry never found his footing in New England. In July, the Patriots traded Harry to the Bears for a 2024 seventh-round pick.

Over three seasons with the Patriots, Harry compiled 57 receptions for 598 yards and four touchdowns, averaging just 18.1 yards per game.
