Tom Brady defends Robert Kraft after one failed joke at Netflix's roast
USA TODAY Sports

Tom Brady saw his entire life be put on blast on Sunday night. And he took almost all of it. However, there was one comment early in the show that caused him to say something and put an end to that topic very quickly.

Comedian Jeff Ross made a joke regarding Robert Kraft's 2019 arrest for allegedly soliciting prostitution, despite the New England Patriots owner being in attendance. And Brady immediately came to Kraft's defense.

“Tom became a Patriot, moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner Robert Kraft’s office and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made.’ Would you like a massage?” Ross said.

Immediately after hearing that, Brady walked over to Ross and said, “Don’t say that (expletive) again.” The microphone picked up his comment.

Kraft and Brady have always had a special relationship, with the owner often referring to the quarterback as one of his sons. And so Brady did what any son would do: defend him.

Kraft later took the microphone and joined in on the Roast. However, in the end, he couldn't help but take a moment to not only thank Brady, but also Bill Belichick for all the two did for the organization.

“This is the greatest coach in the history of the game that did what no one else has done,” Kraft said. “Having Tom Brady and him was the greatest honor the Good Lord gave me. So, cheers.”
