Tutu Atwell Clears Concussion Protocol
USA Today Sports

After a big win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams have a quick turnaround heading into a critical matchup vs. the New Orleans Saints On Thursday.

Luckily for the Rams, they are set to get some reinforcements. Most notably, from No. 3 wideout, Tutu Atwell, who has officially cleared concussion protocol, per head coach Sean McVay.

“He is cleared now. He will be in good shape," McVay said Monday.

McVay also noted that the expectation for Atwell was to play.

Atwell had been battling through a concussion he suffered early in the Ravens loss in Week 14.

The former second-round pick out of Louisville is having somewhat of a breakout year, catching 37 passes for 476 yards and three touchdowns as the third option behind Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.

Atwell was close to returning last week vs. the Commanders but did not make the progress required to clear protocol before kickoff.

After a Monday, evaluation, however, that has now changed, and Atwell will be good to go against the Saints' No. 6 ranked pass defense.

The Rams are also set to get reinforcements along with front, with tackle Rob Havenstein set to come back from his own injury.
