Avalanche's Philipp Grubauer, Erik Johnson out indefinitely with injuries

According to the Associated Press (h/t ESPN ), Colorado Avalanche coach Jared Bednar told reporters on Monday that first-choice goaltender Philipp Grubauer and defenseman Erik Johnson are sidelined indefinitely with injuries they picked up during Saturday's Game 1 loss to the Dallas Stars.

Grubauer went down with a lower-body injury while stretching to make a save minutes into the second period against Dallas. He left the game and was replaced by Pavel Francouz, who will start between the pipes for Colorado until further notice.

Johnson suffered an undisclosed setback following a collision with Dallas' Blake Comeau:

Due to an agreement between the NHL and NHL Players' Association for the completion of the 2019-20 season amid the coronavirus pandemic, clubs are unable to provide much information on player health throughout the playoffs.

According to Callie Parmele of NHL.com, Bednar said on Sunday that Colorado forward Matt Calvert was day-to-day after not dressing for Saturday's second-round series opener. Bednar told the media on Monday that Calvert is out for at least Game 2.
