NHL Friday bets: Four plus-money shot prop plays

It's Friday in the NHL, and we've got four games to dig into. I don't love the value in Ottawa-Columbus, but see at least one prop target in the other three.

Let's get to the shots on goal (SOG) looks for this Friday, all at plus-money.

Kirill Kaprizov over 3.5 SOG (+110 DK)

This was a sweaty hit Thursday night, with Kirill Kaprizov getting all four of his shots on goal in the third period, but he came through for us again.

Now he plays again and we get him at even better odds than Thursday. Remove the context of Thursday night for a moment.

It was a late hit, but look at the game as a whole and you see seven shot attempts, four on net, and one goal.

The fact he took so long does not scare me. He's still home, where he has been absolutely rolling. Kaprizov has now hit in eight of his last nine home games and 70% on the year.

Seattle is a fine shot target on the road, allowing 31.1 shots per game on the road in their past 10. In two games against the Kraken, Kaprizov is averaging 4.5 SOG.

I'm going right back to him.

Nazem Kadri over 3.5 SOG (+130 CZR)

It's great to have Nazem Kadri back for Colorado, one of our favorite targets for much of this season. These odds opened at +140, so it's unfortunate we missed out on the best odds, but as of this writing he's still +130 on Caesars.

Kadri has four-plus shots in five of his last six games, including his first game back from injury on Wednesday. Edmonton is allowing 33.9 shots per game in their past 10 at home, a number that jumps to 37.2 in their last five.

The Oilers are also allowing the seventh-most shots to centers since March 1. I like Kadri to capitalize here.

Parlay: Leon Draisaitl over 2.5 SOG & TJ Oshie over 1.5 SOG (+181 CZR)

It's hard to go wrong with an Edmonton shooter in this one. We have an Oilers team averaging the third-most shots per game at home against a Colorado squad allowing the most shots on the road of late.

I'm actually waiting on a goalie prop to open in this game, but in the meantime, we'll parlay Leon Draisaitl at this 2.5 line from the Edmonton side.

Draisaitl has been a rock at home, hitting in eight of nine and 76% on the season. He also had six SOG against Colorado two weeks ago.

Since he's so heavily juiced, we pair him with TJ Oshie of the Capitals.

Arizona is seeing an average of 41.6 shots against them at home in their past ten games, making them quite a target Friday night.

Oshie has gone over this 1.5 line in nine of his past 11 road games, and Washington shouldn't have issues shooting the puck.

John Carlson over 2.5 SOG (+115 DK)

Defensemen shots against Arizona remains a strategy I insist on deploying. I know that Seth Jones broke our hearts the other night, but I'm writing that off as an anomaly.

We have consistently cashed defensemen SOG props when they face Arizona, the team is allowing the most shots per game to the position since the beginning of March.

Friday night's beneficiary is John Carlson, who hit in the lone meeting between these teams this season.

Carlson does not bring a great recent hit-rate, but the attempts have remained. He's second on Washington in shot attempts in the past five games at 5.4, and that's volume I'm following.

As a team, the Capitals are shooting the fifth-most on the road in the league and as we mentioned above with TJ Oshie, Arizona is a great shot target.

Best of luck Friday night in hockey! Let's cash some NHL bets and head into this weekend on a streak.
