The LA Kings saw two players in the organization win weekly awards in their respective leagues yesterday.

Samuel Fagemo

League: American Hockey League (AHL)

Stats: 5 goals, 1 assist, 6 points in two games played

Samuel Fagemo won the AHL’s Player of the Week posting six points in two games. Fagemo capped off last week with a hat trick against the Calgary Wranglers in the Reign’s 5-1 victory on Sunday. It was Fagemo’s third hat trick and tenth multi-goal game of the season. He currently has 34 goals in 38 games and is tied with Adam Gaudette (Springfield Thunderbirds) for the league lead in goals in 14 fewer games.

Hampton Slukynsky

League: United States Hockey League (USHL)

Stats: 1 GA, 63 saves on 64 shots faced, 1 shutout in two games played

Hampton Slukynsky won the USHL’s Goaltender of the Week award and continues to have a big year with the Fargo Force, who are the best team in the USHL. Slukynsky played in two games last week and saw 64 shots in two games combined and stopped 63 of them. He earned his fifth shutout of the season on Saturday making 31 saves in the Fargo Force’s 5-0 victory over the Lincoln Stars. Slukynsky currently leads the league among all qualified goalies in wins (23), goals-against average (1.75), save percentage (.923), and shutouts (5). This is the third time he’s won the Goaltender of the Week award this season. He’s committed to Northern Michigan University next season.
