Watch: Bruins goalie ejected after trying to fight Matthew Tkachuk

The Boston Bruins were able to take a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Florida Panthers on Sunday afternoon, and starting goalie Linus Ullmark played a starring role in their 6-2 win.

That said, his day was cut short after trying to fight Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk late in the game.

With less than four minutes to play in regulation, Ullmark found himself in the middle of a brawl with Tkachuk and was ready to throw down before officials were able to get involved and break it up.

Have a look.

Ullmark is not the first player (or goalie) that has wanted to fight Tkachuk, one of the league's most notorious pests and cage rattlers, but he certainly made his mark on the game in the lead-up. Before he was given the misconduct he had stopped 41 out of 43 shots and was one of the key difference-makers in the game. Along with the penalty, attempted fight and all of the saves, he also recorded an assist on Taylor Hall's goal in the third period.

Sunday's game continued what has been an incredible season for Ullmark. He was so good stopping pucks all year that he is one of the favorites to win the Vezina Trophy as the league's top goalie, he became the first Bruins goalie to ever score a goal during a game, and then tried to get himself into a fight. He does it all, folks!

The Bruins set an NHL record with 65 regular season wins and are already just one win away from advancing to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. What makes their performance in this series even more impressive is they have been able to win three of the first four games despite not having Patrice Bergeron for any of the games, and they are also now playing without their second-line center David Krejci. None of that has slowed them down at all.
