Bosnian FA launch disciplinary action against Sheffield Utd defender Ahmedhodzic

The Bosnian FA are taking disciplinary action against Sheffield United defender Anel Ahmedhodzic.

Ahmedhodzic has skipped this week's call-up, with the Blades citing injury.

But the FA dispute the claims and with Ahmedhodzic AWOL, they're now initiating disciplinary proceedings.

"Members of the staff and the medical staff tried without success to get in touch with Ahmedhodzic," the FA stated.

"No player is exempted from the responsibility of coming to the national team's preparations, only in case of external circumstances or a sports injury.

"Since it is not a sports injury that prevents his arrival and stay at the preparations in Sarajevo, Anel Ahmedhodzic has been suspended for the time being and disciplinary proceedings will be initiated against him in accordance with the current rules."
